Marianne originally started painting in the 1990s at Goldsmiths’ College, and had a successful career exhibiting in London. She then moved to Herefordshire and took up photography and film in the early 2000s. Having subsequently spent several years as a popular and dedicated art tutor, she is now able to spend more time back in her studio, and is currently engaged in the exploration of drawing and associated techniques. She runs art courses in France and Italy every year, indulging her love of teaching as well as her penchant for travel, and filling her sketchbooks with colourful scenes, detailed drawings and written observations.
